At the same time, the shutdown period is again postponed. Now the deadline is March 30, 2018. This is stated in the decree published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As stated in Resolution No. 563, such measures are taken to prevent the violation of the rights of citizens to free access to information.
The document, in particular, refers to the introduction of changes in the plan for the use of the radio frequency resource of Ukraine. In it the column on the termination of the use of analogue television broadcasting replaced the figures and the words "June 30, 2017" in numbers and words "March 30, 2018".
According to the government, this will allow to conduct a detailed information campaign on connecting the population to digital networks and to expand coverage of the territory of Ukraine with a digital signal.
Recall, as reported by URA-Inform, the National Council on Television at a meeting on February 11, 2016 agreed on a draft resolution on amending the plan for the application of radio frequency resources (HRD), in which the final date for the use of analogue television and radio technology was proposed on June 30,.
