A Ukrainian pensioner will go on a three-day trip to the US to look at the total solar eclipse that will take place on August 21. The media was told about by the 66-year-old man who asked not to be named.
According to the pensioner, from Kiev he will go to Seattle. For the sake of economy, he will fly with a 17-hour transfer in Paris, tickets to both sides cost the traveler a thousand dollars. From Seattle, the man plans to go to one of the cities where you can observe a total eclipse. The pensioner expects by bus to get to Salem or Madras, which are located in Oregon. At the same time, a man worries that he can be disturbed by cloudiness in these places. The Ukrainians call the city of Casper in Wyoming the ideal option, however, according to him, tickets to Seattle from there already cost twice as much as a flight to this American metropolis from Kiev.
No tourist has booked hotels yet. According to him, he will do it already on the spot, determined on the exact route.
The pensioner said that he was flying to the US only for two minutes, when there would be a total eclipse. According to him, this is interesting, and he has already seen everything else in life. The total budget travel man estimates at 1.5-2 thousand dollars. With her organization an elderly person is financially assisted by a daughter. The whole trip will take five days.
The solar eclipse, the full phase of which can only be observed from the US, will occur on August 21.
