Russia destroyed 17 thousand tons of sanctions products in two years

In particular, products of plant origin - 16.4 thousand tons, as well as livestock products were disposed of about 500 tons.

At the same time, the main attempts to import the sanctions goods to bypass the ban are made at the administrative border with Belarus.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, the ban affects the supply of certain types of meat, dairy and fish products, as well as fruits and vegetables from the EU, Australia, Canada, Norway and the USA.



Note that since August 13, 2015 in the list of these countries included Albania, Montenegro, Iceland, Liechtenstein. In addition, since last year the embargo extends to food from the territory of Ukraine.

By the way, the Russian food embargo was introduced in August 2014.

Recall, as previously reported, "URA-Inform, in May this year in Ukraine increased the production of yogurt, butter and cheese. For example, the production of fresh unfermented cheese (including cottage cheese) increased by 0.8% - in May 2017, it produced 5.9 thousand tonnes of product.
