On July 25, the Government of the Russian Federation "On Amending Certain Acts of the Government of the Russian Federation in Connection with the Improvement of Control over the Traffic of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances", which restricts the spread and cultivation of the plant "Mimoza Hostilis".

In the lists of substances subject to control in the Russian Federation, 13 new compounds have been added, as well as a mimosa plant that contains the psychoactive substance dimethyltryptamine.

"Due to the psychoactive properties and lack of control measures for the mimosa plant, hostilis, the dried parts of which are used as a drug, the Internet has a demand for its seeds. At the same time, Russian citizens mistakenly call mimosa various varieties of acacia that do not have psychoactive properties and have nothing to do with the banned plant, "the ministry said..



It should be noted that during the ongoing operations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs officers have identified two new compounds on the Russian drug market since the beginning of the year: U-47700 and furanilfentanil.

These substances were considered for inclusion in the Register of new potentially dangerous psychoactive substances. However, in view of the similarity of the structural formulas of these substances with already included drugs, these substances were recognized only as analogues of already existing substances.
