Dean of one of the faculties was caught on a bribe. He demanded from the applicant 5200 hryvnia. As reported by the press service of the National Police of the region, for this money he promised to influence the members of the admissions committee and enrollment in the number of students for obtaining a second higher education.

Investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Khmelnytsky Oblast documented the fact of extortion and bribery. Dean of the faculty was detained at the time of receiving a bribe.

All money was withdrawn, and a criminal case was opened against the bribe taker under the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Obtaining undue benefits for influence on the decision-making by a person authorized to perform the functions of the state, combined with extortion of such benefits.

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with confiscation of property.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in Khmelnitsky region law enforcement officers on July 17, while receiving improper benefit detained the chief of the district department of the state executive service of the Main Territorial Department of Justice in Khmelnytsky region.
