Yesterday, on July 6, the Kyiv City Council made changes in the Development Strategy of the city of Kiev until 2025.

"If earlier it was a text document, now we see an ordered and structured document, which consists of a strategic vision and goals. The document includes 5 key priorities for the development of the capital, which were previously scattered in the directions. In addition, new indicators of the monitoring system for the implementation of the Strategy have been added: now there are 219 instead of 78. The Strategy was also supplemented by a new goal - preservation of historical identity and the development of culture in Kiev, "commented the changes in the strategy of the first deputy chairman of the KCSA Gennady Plis.

Among the strategic goals for the coming years, it is determined that the level of competitiveness of the Kyiv economy and the comfort of life of Kyivites will increase, as well as the preservation of historical identity and the development of culture in the capital.

"While Kiev continues to lag significantly behind other European cities in terms of gross regional product per capita. The state strategy of regional development for the period until 2020 provides for an annual increase in the GRP of Kiev (per capita) by an average of 7%, "the report says..
