On Thursday, June 22, Nikolayev rescuers received for the first time in 8 years certificates for new special equipment, which was purchased by the local authorities at the expense of the regional budget as part of the implementation of the decentralization reform.

In particular, on its balance the local State Emergency Committee received a special-purpose diving and rescue boat, a car on the KrAZ chassis with snow-removing equipment, a Mitsubishi L200 rescue vehicle and 50 compressed air insulating devices.

In the ceremony of the delivery of special equipment to the employees of the State Emergency Situations Ministry in Mykolayiv region took part the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klimpush-Tsintsadze and the Chairman of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Alexei Savchenko.

In the speech, Ivanna Klimpush-Tsintsadze noted that during the last 8 years no new equipment was delivered to the Mykolaiv department of the state emergency service.

"We depend on the fact that weather challenges bring us new tasks and new needs to be ready to effectively, quickly and in time save people, help our citizens, help those who are in some difficult situation. And, obviously, the rescuers can perform this task qualitatively due to their professional training. But, obviously, at the expense of equipment, due to the technical capabilities that will provide a quick and effective way to help every citizen. Chairman of Mykolayiv Oblast State Administration Alexei Savchenko stressed the level of responsibility of rescuers and the possibility of developing shipbuilding in the region.
