Photos are published from a small village of Jamana in Romania, which is flooded with a toxic lake.

The pictures are posted on the portal TJournal.

In the late 1970s, most of the residents of Jamana left their homes, for which they received compensation from the state. The reason for the settlement of the village was the development of a large copper deposit discovered on this territory.

The valley was "sealed" by a dam, and waste and slag began to accumulate in its lake. The level of reddened toxic water continues to increase by about a meter every year.

About twenty people were left to live in the valley, but they also have to move gradually higher up the slope.

Under the water, the local cemetery and the church have already disappeared, and its spire, according to local residents, wanted to demolish the representatives of the mining company, dissatisfied with the attention to the fate of the drowned settlement in the waste.

As reported by the "Observer", earlier the blogger Lana Sator showed the devastation of the "newly-born" Abkhazia, having removed the photo report from the abandoned cities.
