A powerful storm front with a downpour and a squally wind passed through Tyumen and other settlements of the region. Emergency power outages occurred in Tyumen and the region, about 18 thousand people were left without electricity. In the first hours, electricity was restored in Tyumen. And for two more days specialists of Tyumenenergo with brigades of contract organizations liquidated the consequences of the disaster.
The very Tyumen on June 17-18 would be quite suitable for the shooting of the film about the apocalypse - the strongest downpour, lightning, thunder, strong wind (up to 23 m / s). All of this was warned by weather forecasters, but everyone wanted to hope that it would cost. Alas, it did not happen. The streets of the city immediately turned into rivers, public transport could not pass everywhere, drivers of "cars" did not need to take risks. Bus drivers dropped passengers not at bus stops, but where they could leave at all, without swimming. Water flooded the first floors of buildings. A fountain appeared in one branch of the bank. At the same time, the automatic doors were blocked. Employees could not get out of the building and appealed to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The wind broke the trees, which, falling, tore the wires. All the activities planned for the weekend had to be postponed.
The air temperature does not rise above 16 degrees in the daytime. Trouble in Tyumen lasted on June 18 and 19 - in places rain and wind up to 24 m / s. A year ago these days in the city was +24.
No better weather was in Perm and Kazan. The Kurgan region also suffered. In one of the villages a tornado was formed, which demolished several wooden houses. On Monday in the village of Maloye Pesyanovo, a hurricane tore up poles, trees, demolished the dome of the church and destroyed the annex to the house, and a wind-blown roof fell on a woman with two children, they were hospitalized. In five villages there were single damage to the roofs of houses. In Vvedenskoye village, a woman was killed by a lightning stroke.
In the Kurgan flooded streets Krasin, Karl Marx, Dzerzhinsky, Polovinskaya and others. For security reasons, in a number of areas, electricity was cut off. The shower was occasionally accompanied by hail, with the gradients reaching a diameter of 3 centimeters. Hurricane wind left without light 62 settlements in the Kurgan region, which is home to almost 19 thousand people. Experts estimate that the restoration of the power supply of the region will take at least 3 days.
