In the Sverdlovsk region, five students of the Reftinsky Special Educational Institution for students with deviant (socially dangerous) closed-type behavior are brought before the court, who raised their comrades to a riot.
One of them, born in 1999, is charged with hh 1, 2 st 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization and participation in mass riots accompanied by violence, pogroms, destruction of property). The other four pupils, born in 1999, 2000, 2001, are charged with committing a crime by h. 2 items. 212 of the Criminal Code (participation in mass riots accompanied by violence, pogroms, destruction of property).
According to the investigators, the 18-year-old pupil, who was chosen as the commander of the group No. 7, and also an informal leader of the institution's inmates, in the territory of the Reftinsky special institution, in connection with discontent with the rules of the internal order, decided to organize and directly take part in the riots. The formal reason for the outbreak of the riots was the nomination of a deliberately illegal demand for the leadership of the institution to replace ceramic dishes with metal.
At about 18:00 on August 31, 2016, the leader of the pupils, as well as the commanders of other groups, demanded a meeting with the leadership of the Reftinsky institution, during which they announced their demand.
On the same day in the evening around 8:00 pm, the organizer of the riots and his assistants withdrew a part of the inmates of 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 groups in the number of at least 60 people from the groups on the ground floor of the hostel of the institution for participation in mass riots. They entered the dining room, where they made a pogrom, turning tables and chairs, breaking the tableware. In addition, it was broken window, located next to the central post.
After the pogrom, 34 inmates voluntarily left the territory of the institution, but were detained by law enforcement officers and returned to the Reftinsky institution. The next day, in the evening, as well as on the night of September 1 to September 2, 2016, another 13 people fled, but they were also caught by police officers.
Destroyed and damaged property was estimated at 258 thousand rubles.
The criminal case was sent to the Sverdlovsk Regional Court for consideration on the merits.
