Activists of several nationalist organizations blocked the central streets of Kiev to prevent the march of the LGBT community This was reported on the Facebook page by the head of the press service of the "Right Sector" Artem Skoropadsky.

He noted that already this night people blocked the Shevchenko Park, Vladimirskaya Street, as well as the Teacher's House.

"We call on all who can right now come to the red building of the university, or tomorrow at 7 am on Maidan," Skoropadsky stressed..

The annual "Kyivpride" usually takes place in the format of a street demonstration. This year, the procession of LGBT community members and those who support them will take place along Vladimirskaya Street: from the National Opera to Lev Tolstoy Square.

The action, which involves the participation of about 5,000 people, will be guarded by 6,000 policemen.
