Ukraine plans to launch a new train to the Baltic States

As noted, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan recently discussed this project with the Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania Rokas Masiulis at a meeting in Vilnius.

According to Omelyan, the priority direction of the activity of the Ministry of Infrastructure is the expansion of direct communication with the countries of Europe, in particular, and with the Baltic States.

"We expect that we will be able to launch a train of five capitals by the end of the year, and this route will be in demand among passengers," stressed the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.



Omelyan also noted the importance of developing multimodal, combined transport and positive results of the train "Viking".

As, the transport project will achieve the most successful results on the formation of new effective logistics solutions for the organization of the transport process Europe - Asia - Europe.

Recall, as previously reported, "URA-Inform", from August 1 this year, PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsya" plans to send the first flight train "Lviv - Krakow".
