Fines and arrests: the law on banning St. George's ribbon came into force in Ukraine

In Ukraine, came into force the law on the introduction of administrative responsibility for the production and propaganda of St. George's ribbon.

The June 14 law was published in the official newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada "Voice of Ukraine".

Public use, demonstration or wearing of St. George's ribbon is punishable by a fine of 50 to 150 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens, which ranges from 850 to 2.5 thousand.

For repeated propaganda of St. George's ribbon, violators face a fine of up to 300 non-taxable minimums (5,100. UAH. - Red. ) Or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.

As reported by the "Observer", in May, the Rada supported the ban on the production and propaganda of the St. George ribbon, which became in Ukraine a symbol of Russian occupation and aggression.
