Vrio of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuyvashev thanked the Urals who took part in the operation to find the four-year-old boy Dima Peskov, who was lost in the forest near the Reftinsky Reservoir.
"I am very glad that this story ended well and the child managed to find. I'm sure the doctors will do everything necessary to make the boy healthy. I would like to thank all those who took part in the search operation - both employees of special services, and ordinary Sverdlovsk citizens who responded to someone else's trouble. The cohesion of people helped save the life of a young child. It costs a lot! And, of course, this once again shows how important it is to unite to achieve a truly important goal, "said the head of the region.
Kuyvashev notes that the number of volunteers who went on a quest and expressed their willingness to help a child and his family is indicative.
"This year I was declared the Year of Volunteers. And this situation shows that volunteer forces need to be supported, cherished by readiness of Sverdlovsk citizens to unite, as much as possible to talk about people who are ready to postpone business for the sake of helping close. Streets, after all, to be named in their honor, "Kuyvashev said..
Recall, four-year-old Dima was lost on the morning of June 10. The Peskovs' family came to the shore of the Reftin Reservoir with a tent. Father and son went for firewood, but the boy quickly got tired and asked to go back. The father let him go alone and did not see the boy again.
Parents spent two hours looking for him, then they turned to law enforcement for help.
For four days several hundred policemen, rescuers and volunteers combed the forests in the area of ??the Reftinsky reservoir. The search engines used a quadrocopter with a thermal imager that did not detect the boy, but discovered a bear. After that, the chances of finding a child alive fell sharply.
Dima was found on Wednesday afternoon, June 14, alive but severely depleted. The child was transported to Asbestos hospital.
