Most residents of the occupied part of Donbass do not want to fulfill the conditions of the Minsk agreements on a special status for their region. The Russian occupation changed the outlook of people who in 2014 wanted the federalization of Ukraine.
This is on air "The Observer. LIVE "said the journalist, TV presenter, blogger Larisa Voloshina.
According to her, the situation in the front zone clearly illustrates how people's moods have changed.
"In 2014, when the occupation of the Donbass and Crimea began, more than 70% of local residents believed that the Donbass, it may be part of Ukraine, but it must have its sovereignty, it needs either federalization or broad autonomy," the journalist said..
Voloshina stressed that already in 2016 the picture turned out different: "Only 20% of the residents of the bordering territories agree that the occupied Donbass should be integrated into Ukraine by means of a special status within the framework of the Minsk agreements".
"66% of the inhabitants of this region believe that there should not be any special statuses, that the occupied parts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions are the usual territories of Ukraine," she said..
"In fact, they do not want to do what was prescribed in the Minsk agreements -" broad autonomy "for the Donbass," Voloshin added..
