Ukrainians with a residence permit in the occupied areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions and in the annexed Crimea for obtaining biometric passports will need to pass a special test.

The press-secretary of the state enterprise "Document" Vladimir Polishchuk said on the air of Espresso. TV.

In particular, citizens will need to provide additional identification documents.

"A certain number of documents were lost during the events that occur there, there is no way to identify the person under Form No. 1. There is a resolution of the Cabinet, which recommends conducting additional identification, "- said Polishchuk.

According to him, it is not enough to bring only the passport of a citizen of Ukraine, an identification code and an old passport.

"We are forced to ask for a birth certificate, or a military ticket or other documents. An additional identification is carried out through other authorities and an overseas biometric passport is issued, "summarized Polishchuk.

As reported by the "Observer", on May 11, in Brussels, the EU Council approved a visa-free regime between Ukraine and European countries. According to this decision, 34 European countries have opened borders to Ukrainians since June 11.
