The official was caught on a bribe of 250 thousand euros. Investigators of the prosecutor's office completed investigations into this fact and sent an indictment against the detainee.

According to the report, the investigators managed to establish that the citizen addressed the chairman of the village farm with a request to allocate him four hectares of land within the Martusovka village for economic activities. For this, the official demanded to give him 250 thousand euros.

Police detained the bribe-taker on March 20, 2017 immediately after giving him the entire amount of bribe. Now the indictment is sent to the court for the consideration of the case on the merits.

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 12 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the Attorney General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said that over the past week in Ukraine, it has managed to catch 11 bribe takers. The amount of bribes received by them amounted to about five million dollars, - explained the Prosecutor General.
