The fire was seen the day before, on June 10, about six o'clock in the evening. According to preliminary data near the village Zbiranka Zhovkovsky in the territory of the Gribovitsky dump, which belongs to the Zbiranka enterprise, garbage is burning.

As reported on Sunday, June 11, on its page in Facebook the Department of Civil Protection of the Lviv regional city administration, the fire destroyed garbage in an area of ??ten square meters. Rescuers of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service managed to localize the fire and by 8 pm completely eliminate it, - the department was assured.

Recall, on May 30, 2016 rescuers liquidated a fire in the landfill site.

However, already at three o'clock in the afternoon during the collection of fire-technical equipment in the landfill site there was a displacement of garbage from a height of about 90 meters.

As a result, under the rubble was three rescuers. After that the Gribovytsky dump was closed, and the city has been suffering from a garbage collapse for a year already.

As reported URA-Inform, the Lviv Administrative Court of Appeal on Monday, January 30, recognized the unlawful inactivity of the mayor of Lviv, Andrei Sadovoy, who was unable to ensure the closure of the landfill in Gribovichi.
