Repair work is not possible without controlling the gas supply in the system. But, the node of the system that regulates the flow of gas in the direction of Avdeevka, is located on a territory temporarily not under the control of the government of Ukraine.

On Friday, June 9, on its Facebook page, referring to the statement of the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination, the press center of the headquarters of the antiterrorist operation. The militants, in the opinion of the SCCC, can open the gas supply to the system during the repair and welding works, which may pose a threat to the lives of workers of the repair team.

This issue must be resolved and for this purpose the Ukrainian side proposes to establish cooperation between the heads of gas facilities on both sides of the line of delimitation with the help of international humanitarian organizations, in particular the OSCE.

The Ukrainian side of SSCC is ready to work out the applications for emergency recovery works in the fastest time and ensure timely receipt of security guarantees. Then it will remain to wait for the provision of appropriate security guarantees from the leadership of the OPDO,.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, June 7 as a result of the fighting near Avdeyevka was damaged section of the main gas pipeline "Makeyevka-Avdeevka". The gas pressure in the system began to drop rapidly and its supply was discontinued.
