Low-cost Ryanair has canceled the mandatory requirement for Ukrainian citizens to undergo a visa check at the time of the flights within the Schengen zone, said avianews. Com air carrier customers.
The press service of Ryanair confirmed this information to the edition, noting that the visa check was removed for all citizens of states that are not members of the European Economic Area traveling within the Schengen zone as part of the continuation of the program to improve service and operations.
However, these changes, stressed in Ryanair, were planned in advance and in no way connected with the introduction of a visa-free regime for travel to the EU for Ukrainian citizens.
Earlier, citizens of states outside the European Economic Area could not use Ryanair's mobile boarding passes and had to pass a visa check with printed boarding passes even on flights within the Schengen area. In the event that such a check was not passed, the traveler could refuse to board the flight.
Since June 11, citizens of Ukraine with valid biometric passports will be able to visit 22 EU member states that are members of the Schengen zone (Austria, Belgium, Greece, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Finland, France, the Czech Republic and Sweden), four EU states that are not members of the Schengen (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Romania and Croatia), as well as four non-EU states that are members of the Schengen Agreements (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norv Switzerland).
The visa-free regime does not give the right to work and will allow citizens of Ukraine to stay on the territory of foreign states no more than 90 days every six months.
