The Verkhovna Rada renewed one-time payments for the rehabilitation of children who lost one of their parents due to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
The corresponding bill No. 5297 was supported by a total of 243 deputies.
"The draft law proposes to restore the right of children who lost as a result of the Chernobyl disaster one of the parents and evacuees from the exclusion zone in 1986, to receive annual assistance for recovery in accordance with article 48 of the law," says an explanatory note.
Funds for payments of this category of Ukrainians in 2016 are provided for in the budget program "Social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster", the main administrator of which is the Ministry of Social Policy.
