In most of the hurricane-affected settlements of the Sverdlovsk Region, the electricity supply of communal infrastructure, socially significant facilities and consumers has been restored. In the remaining territories, repair and restoration works are continuing and are being carried out around the clock. For their implementation, all emergency brigades and special equipment of the region's energy companies have been mobilized, as well as experts from contractors engaged in the overhaul of apartment buildings.

By 10:00 on Sunday, June 4, more than one hundred thousand people affected by the elements of electricity were de-energized by about 16,000 people. The largest number of them remains in Nizhny Tagil (3,5 thousand people), Beloyarsk region (2,5 thousand people), in Kushva (1,5 people) and Staroukynsk (1,5 thousand people).

The situation with the region's electricity supply, as before, is under the control of the provisional governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev and the interdepartmental headquarters for ensuring energy security.

Recall, June 3 in the Sverdlovsk region was a powerful hurricane. As a result of the disaster, numerous technological violations were recorded on high voltage power lines of 110 and 35 kV, as well as in distribution networks of 6-10 kV. Without electricity, there were residents of Irbitsky, Kamyshlovsky, Kamensk, Nizhny Tagil, Nevyansky, Krasnouuralky, Pervouralsky, Polevskoy, Degtyarsk, Sysert, Beloyarsky urban districts, in part g. Revda, Serov and some other territories. In total - more than 100 thousand people.

The most difficult situation in Nizhny Tagil and Staroutkinsk. In both territories an emergency mode was introduced.

In Nizhny Tagil, as a result of the disaster, virtually the entire Dzerzhinsky district remained without electricity. Hurricane here fell trees, the roofs of 27 apartment buildings were damaged, power lines 110 and 35 kV.

Thanks to operative actions of power engineers, all objects of social sphere and life support systems were immediately transferred to backup power sources. Troubleshooting on networks and connection of the housing fund was conducted in a continuous mode by forces of more than one hundred emergency teams of IDGC of Urals and Oblkommunenergo.

By the morning of June 4, the transfer to the regional energy security headquarters, in Nizhny Tagil, about 3,500 people were left without light, the emergency and restorative measures continue.

In Staroukynsk, the roofs of several houses were also destroyed by a hurricane wind, trees were felled and power transmission lines were destroyed. Emergency and recovery work is carried out by the forces of six emergency response teams "Oblkommunenergo".

It should be noted that the Ministry of Emergency Situations extended the storm warning until Tuesday, June 6. Most likely the return of the hurricane on June 5.
