To say goodbye in the capital with the ex-head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) Lubomir Guzar, who died after a long illness, will be on the feast of the Trinity.

On the day of the funeral - on Monday, a personal envoy of the Pope and relatives of Lubomir Guzar who live abroad will arrive in Kiev.

His Beatitude will be buried under the altar of the main patriarchal cathedral of Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Kiev. Here he laid the first cornerstone, and also blessed the construction of the tomb.

Lubomir Guzar's body will be returned to the capital on Sunday, June 4. When the funeral service passes, the coffin will be sealed. This must be done in accordance with sanitary requirements.

After this, the coffin will be embedded in the wall of the temple.
