The absolute majority of those who support Russia and LDPR in the Donbass explain their position by the fact that they are not satisfied with the Ukrainian government and the President.
From this we can draw a simple logical conclusion: in the minds of these people, the state and power are things absolutely inseparable.
If the majority of Ukrainians consider themselves masters of their state, then the other part feels the state and the power - the masters of themselves.
If the majority of Ukrainians, when they are not satisfied with the power, change their power, then these people tend to change the state, the owner.
Very clear logic: if the old master does not like, then the serf starts to dream of a new - good and fair.
On patriotism, civic position or the feeling of one's Right there is no question. In the mind and subconsciousness of such a person, he has no rights and can not be. There is only a good or evil will of the master.
This is a typical proletarian mentality that, in the absence of traditions of private property, was exacerbated by the total absence of any rights to civic activity, both under the councils and under independent Ukraine.
The only way to integrate millions of such people in the Donbass into the body of Ukrainian society is to involve them as much as possible in any form of civic engagement. That everyone began to feel the master of his fate and his country, and not her slave.
