In the parliament they want to allow policemen to deal with cases of minor accidents and determine the amount of fines on the spot. Deputies - the authors of the project believe that this way will unload the courts, which are literally overwhelmed by business, and will facilitate the life of the drivers themselves. The drivers themselves fear that such a norm will be another reason for corruption. And lawyers say: regardless of the decision on the ground, the load on the courts is unlikely to significantly decrease.

The parliament registered the bill number 6516, which they want to simplify the procedure for dealing with cases of an accident - to solve them directly on the spot. For example, if one of the accident participants voluntarily acknowledges his guilt on the spot and confirms the protocol in confirmation, the police will have the right not to send the case to the court, but to determine the fine. If none of the parties pleads guilty, then the case will have to be examined in court.

According to the authors of the law, the adoption of the document will help reduce the burden on the courts, in which, due to lack of hands, cases even for minor accidents are considered for several months, and drivers drive without rights.

Lawyers are categorical at the same time: if the law is passed, it will hardly bring a special relief to the courts.

"This norm will not work, like the europrotocol, because we almost never acknowledge our guilt in an accident. But to give the policemen an extra lever of pressure with a view to obtaining a confession is impossible, "said the lawyer Vadim Volodarsky.
