The People's Deputy of Ukraine, the founder of the Institute of Human Rights and Prevention of Extremism and Xenophobia, Alexander Feldman, at the invitation of Baron David de Rothschild, took part in the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Aladdin international project that took place on May 29 in the Paris City Hall.

The meeting was also attended by UNESCO Secretary-General Irina Bokova, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, philanthropist David de Rothschild, former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Saudi Sheikh Mohammad bin Issa al Jabber and others.

"Today the world is facing serious challenges: terrorism, intolerance. Fighting them and building a tolerant society are the main topics that were discussed at the meeting, "said Alexander Feldman.

The MP highly appreciated the activities of the Aladdin project. "I appreciate the projects aimed at building a peaceful society, building intercultural ties between nations and countries, educating and fostering tolerance," added the founder of the Institute for Human Rights and Prevention of Extremism and Xenophobia.

Recall, the Aladdin project is a multifaceted cultural initiative to combat the denial of the Holocaust and all forms of racism and intolerance, and to promote intercultural dialogue, especially among Muslims and Jews. The project is implemented under the auspices of UNESCO. More than 500 outstanding figures from Europe, North America and the Muslim world. Among them are politicians, religious figures, scientists, writers, artists and civil society activists of different faiths and cultures.

As part of his trip to France, Alexander Feldman met with the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo. During the meeting, agreements were reached on cooperation between the Alexander Feldman Foundation and the Mayor's Office of Paris in the implementation of joint humanitarian and cultural projects.

Today, Alexander Feldman will meet with the leadership of the Paris Zoo and representatives of environmental organizations in France on cooperation with Feldman Ecopark and joint environmental projects.
