Official caught on a bribe of three thousand hryvnia. He demanded this amount for assisting the student in passing the examination session.

According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, on Monday, May 29, thanks to the well-coordinated work of the local prosecutor's office and the police during the receipt of part of the money in the amount of two thousand hryvnia.

On this fact, a criminal case was opened on the grounds of a criminal offense provided for in the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Acceptance of a proposal, promise or receipt of an improper benefit by an official.

The question of notifying a person about suspicion and choosing a preventive measure is now being decided, the press service said, adding that the article envisages punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities on Up to three years, with confiscation of property.
