Soon Europe will open borders for Ukrainians and travel to the EU countries will be much more accessible. However, choosing a route or destination, Ukrainian tourists will have a choice: how to get to the cherished country? And since far not every potential tourist can afford to travel by plane (and some principally choose ground transportation for safety reasons), "Word and Business" acquaints you with European routes that offers its passengers (or plans to launch in the near future) "Ukrzaliznytsya ".

In early December 2016, Ukrainian MPs and members of the Seimas of Poland called on their railway carriers to work out the possibility of launching the Kiev-Krakow-Paris route.

On December 9, 2016, the head of Ukrzaliznytsia, Wojciech Balchun, promised to launch a high-speed train on the Kiev-Lviv-Peremyshl route before the end of the year and fulfilled his promise - at the moment this route is the only one in operation, the others are not yet launched.

On January 20, 2017, the Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelyan promised to launch several new trains to Poland, Hungary and Slovakia by the end of the year, and on January 25 the head of the US announced his intention to launch the train with a message with Poland, Austria and Bulgaria.

On February 10, it became known about the preparation for the launch of flights from Kovel to Helm (the first train will depart soon on June 12), as well as from Mukachevo to Budapest and from Uzhgorod to Kosice.

On March 27, the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure told about the preparation of a direct railway message on the route Kiev-Sofia.

As the visa-free travel approach, the number of planned routes to the euro area began to grow. So, in late April Balchun promised to launch three new trains: to Romania, Hungary and Slovakia.

In turn, the Ministry of Infrastructure announced the need to open new flights to Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Hungary and Romania.

Recall, from August 1, "Ukrzaliznytsya" will launch the first train on the route Lviv-Krakow.
