This was reported in the press service of "Ukrzaliznytsia".

The report says that the payments for the transportation of goods were carried out only on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, the movement of goods occurred through checkpoints of entry / exit and in accordance with the procedure that was approved by the order of the first deputy head of the Antiterrorist Center at the Security Service. In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia was informed that since March 2017 there was no transportation of goods by rail between the controlled and temporarily uncontrolled territories, according to the decision of the NSDC.

Regarding the blockade of railway communication with the occupied territories by the activists, which began in late January 2017, it is reported that for today Ukraine, because of the fighting in the east of the country, suffers from a significant shortage of coal, primarily energy (anthracite), whose extraction is concentrated in Donetsk and Lugansk Areas in areas controlled by militants. The shortage of coal affects the work of power plants, which are forced to reduce production capacity.

Earlier, URA-Inform reported that, according to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman, the blockade "drives" metallurgists to a standstill, they have to buy coal from Russia.
