Presiding Judge Vladislav Devyatko announced that the results of the appointed examination on the establishment of interference in the judicial system on the appointment of the panel of judges were not fixed.
At the same time, Yanukovych's defense, in turn, asked the court to explain how the videoconference will be conducted, and also demanded that the prosecutor general of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko be brought to court to ensure the principle of adversarial proceedings in connection with the prosecutor's expressed desire to support the state prosecution. According to lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk, the defense believes that the declared position of the prosecutor general is his absolute right and therefore Lutsenko's appearance must be ensured.
He also said that Yanukovych is ready to give evidence only after compliance with all formalities. The defense transferred the statement of the fugitive president to the presiding judge, in which, inter alia, it is said that the case against him is regarded solely as a means of political persecution and the disclosure of personal accounts.
I am ready and I want to participate in its consideration in court.
