According to the publication, the investigators of the center found that the mayor ordered his deputy to sign a contract with the firm Eme Parkleitsystem Gmbh, according to which in the capital a project of paid parking. At the same time, the city council's permission to sign a contract was not received.
Chirtoaca was detained for 72 hours, because they suspected him of benefiting from the signing of the contact. According to local journalists, in late April, Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Yuri Kirinchuk was arrested on corruption charges.
