Attackers have stolen 1.5 million hryvnia from an ATM in the city of Boryspil. According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, the incident occurred on May 18.

Two men kidnapped a large sum of money from the ATM safe of one of the bank's regional branches. After that, they tried to hide from the scene of the crime, however, thanks to the well-coordinated work of the law enforcement bodies, they were detained hotly in the city of Irpen.

The police opened a criminal case against the detainees under the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine Theft. Now they face the penalty of imprisonment for a period of seven to 12 years with confiscation of property.

The prosecutor's office asks the court to take the suspects into custody, as they are implicated in other similar crimes.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in Sumy, unknown people blew up an ATM. The explosion took place about four o'clock in the morning in one of the shops along Kharkivska Street. According to the press service of the National Police in the region, the security alarm system worked and law enforcement officers immediately left for the scene of the incident.
