Ukrainians still prefer cash payments - 71% of city residents with a population of over 0.5 million, 65% of small towns and 26% of rural residents use the card to pay for goods and services.
This was reported by the association of members of payment systems "EMA" with reference to a study conducted jointly with the company Gemius.
According to the association, citizens' preferences are related not only to low financial literacy, but also to the fact that more than 80% of Ukrainian entrepreneurs still have not installed POS-terminals in their outlets, because of which the consumer simply does not have the opportunity to pay by card.
