What the Ukrainians refused for the sake of economy

Ukrainians refuse from more expensive food products and are reoriented to cheaper ones: cereals, potatoes, bread and pasta.

"We made a control purchase of the most affordable food in one of the cheapest shopping networks in Kiev. Our basket includes cheap foodstuffs for which most Ukrainians have reoriented: wheat, corn, barley, millet, pearl barley, semolina, potatoes, flour, pasta, rice and buckwheat, "says Alexei Doroshenko, general director of the Ukrainian Association of Trade Network Suppliers.

The cheapest is wheat, which weighs 5.8 UAH per kilogram, and the cheapest packed - 10.9 UAH. Corn cereals can be bought at 6.2 UAH per kilogram for placer and for 13.8 UAH the most affordable packaged. The barley is sold at 6.2 UAH, and packed in 10.4 UAH. Wheat grain is slightly more expensive - 6,6 UAH. Per kilogram by weight, and packed - 10 UAH. Perlovka will cost 7,3 UAH by weight and in 9,3 UAH the cheapest packed. Kilogram of manki, respectively, 9.7 UAH and 11.4 UAH.

Potatoes already cost 9.9 UAH / kg, and flour at 10.9 UAH. Macaroni for weight weighs 12.5 UAH, and the cheapest prepacked - 16.5 UAH per kilogram. The weighted rice is sold at 16.1 UAH, and packaged at 22.4 UAH per kilogram.

The cost of buckwheat for weighting is 26.6 UAH, and packaged - 35.7 UAH.

Control purchase for kilograms of these products cost in 258 UAH.
