This opinion was expressed to the "Observer" by the Russian publicist Alexander Nevzorov.
Answering the question whether Ukraine should be banned by the UOC-MP as such, the publicist noted: "As Ukraine wants, let it be so. Here there is no one recipe ".
At the same time, he added: "That the Orthodox Church, that" Jehovah's Witnesses "is the same, in fact, big sects. In Russia they showed that they can easily close a major religious organization. I think that if Ukraine follows the example of Russia, then probably no one dares to say that it has exceeded its democratic powers in something ".
Nevzorov is convinced that "it had to be done a very long time, because Ukraine was extremely strange, which had suffered so much from Russia, to maintain a huge organization, first of all, a propaganda organization that worked against Ukraine, while pouring money out of Ukraine for success This propaganda ".
The "observer" also asked to evaluate the norm of the bill No. 4511 "On the special status of religious organizations", whose authors propose the churches to commit themselves to preventing anti-Ukrainian activities.
