The children's writer Larisa Nitsoy, who is known for her struggle for respect for the Ukrainian language, said that for her son's sake she had to make one concession to Russian culture.
She told about this in an interview with the "Observer".
"In our house there is nothing Russian. I thought so, but still found something. More deliberately let in my house.
This is comics. My son is very fond of American - Marvell, DC, but, unfortunately, in nature there is no Ukrainian-speaking American comic book. They are being translated so far only in Russian, and I was forced to let this product into my house, because I did not dare to limit my son in the development of his interests, "said Nitsa.
