The National Security and Defense Council stated that the decision to block Russian social networks was made now, without publicizing the information on the preparation of sanctions, for the "element of surprise".

This was stated by the head of the Information Security Service of the National Security and Defense Council Valentin Petrov, "Gromadske".

At the same time, the representative of the National Security and Defense Council also noted that the new restrictions concern only individuals and legal entities, and not software products. According to Petrov, this was due to the interests of information security.

"When there were cyberattacks on the phonorgans, then on their computers was the Russian software. I do not think that this is a coincidence, "- concluded Petrov.

Recall, the day before, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on blocking access to social networks "VKontakte" and "Classmates".

As reported by the "Observer", also under the ban got the Russian company LLC "1C", specializing in distribution, support and development of programs.

Join the groups "Observer" on Facebook and VKontakte, stay tuned!.
