Most often Ukrainians travel to the EU for recreation and work. Visa-free regime will significantly increase the flow.

In February 2017, a trip to the countries of the European Union during the next 12 months to rest was relevant for 22% of Ukrainians, according to the KIIS poll.

17% of citizens of Ukraine intended to go to work. Other plans were relevant for no more than 8% of Ukrainians. At the same time, in the case of the introduction of a visa-free regime, the proportion of those planning to travel to the EU is increasing by 50%. In particular, the proportion of those for whom rest in the EU countries is an up-to-date plan, increases to 31%. In case of employment - up to 23%.

The Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted a survey from 10 to 20 February 2017 among 2040 respondents across Ukraine except for the occupied territories. The maximum sampling error is 3.3%.

Recall that according to the KIIS poll, over the past two years, almost every tenth adult Ukrainian (10%) visited the countries of the European Union at least once. The main reasons for visiting the EU are rest (29%), business trips (28%) and job placement (18%).
