In connection with the receipt of Ukraine visa-free regime with the EU, for those wishing to travel in Europe, citizens have developed a detailed instruction on the operation of the visa-free regime and the rules of crossing the border.
The corresponding instruction on the website of Busfor was published by Galina Koltunova, senior manager of the network of travel agencies "Na kanikuly".
Visa-free regime will simplify life with all options for staying abroad in the Schengen area for up to 90 days from 180 days in each half-year. Thus, this will save on the cost of visa fees (now it is 35 euros) and the services of the visa center.
Visas to citizens of Ukraine will no longer be needed to visit the Schengen states and the candidate countries for accession to it, including the non-EU Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.
At the same time, visas are still required to visit the UK and Ireland, as well as in cases of prolonged stay in EU countries for work or study.
Visa-free border crossing can be used only by owners of foreign passports with electronic chips - biometric passports. Such passports in Ukraine have been drawn up since 2014.
In the right part of the cover of the passport of the new sample, a contactless electronic carrier is implanted, which complies with the requirements of the ISO / IEC 14443 standard for recording and reading data, set to electronic documents. At the same time, foreign passports of the old model remain valid until the expiration of their validity period.
The requirement of biometric passports is valid for all states that have undergone visa liberalization with the EU in recent years. That is, a biometric passport - a visa-free, non-biometric passport - requires a visa even after the adoption of a visa-free regime.
