In Odessa on Sunday evening, public activists forced the authorities to demolish the memorial sign to Marshal Georgy Zhukov.

This is reported by Radio Liberty.

Stone on the Heavenly Hundreds prospectus was set the day before by supporters of the banned Communist Party.

On the stone there was an inscription in Russian "Here a monument will be erected to Marshal of Victory, hero of the Soviet Union G.

Zhukov from grateful veterans and residents of the city-hero of Odessa with the support of the Communist Party ".

Near a commemorative stone, arguments arose about his demolition. The place came to the police, and then the communal workers who removed the monument.

As reported by the "Observer", earlier in Ternopil unknown people desecrated a monument to the victims of the Holocaust.
