Pension age in Ukraine will not be raised so far, says Deputy Minister of Social Policy Nikolai Shambir.

"Today we do not touch the retirement age, this question is postponed ... Now many other problems - we will concentrate on them ... We can say that we will have to solve this issue, but today there are no conditions, no options for increasing ... And that's why we are going the other way, "- said H. Shambir.

According to H. Shambira, pension reform provides for "uniform rules and one law" on the appointment of pensions to citizens of Ukraine.

"The question is to radically change the system and generally remove the notion of modernizing the pension. We propose the same indicators that will be applied to all pensioners: both for new and old, and annually these pensions will be indexed according to uniform rules, "the deputy minister said..

According to him, today, with the current system of calculating pensions, "a person can not calculate and forecast practically anything," and with the implementation of the pension reform, the process of calculating pensions will become transparent.

"The system that we offer will help a person to keep track of how and how much he pays for pensions ... This is one of the cardinal changes that will occur," said H. Shambir.

According to him, after the law on pension reform is adopted, work will begin on the development of a funded pension system.
