On April 26, unknown persons damaged the memorial board of the ATU fighter in Lozovsky district, and also destroyed two tablets with street names in Kharkov.
Information on the first incident was reported by NewsRoom sources in law enforcement agencies, photographs of the second incident were published by the Sokol NGO in Facebook.
According to police, in the village of Orelku, the attackers split into two parts a commemorative plaque dedicated to ATU participant Vasily Savchenko. An investigator visited the scene of events, a verification is carried out on the fact of the incident.
Recall that in March 2016 the vandals were already trying to destroy the memory of a graduate of the Orel training and education complex, who died on August 26, 2014 under mortar fire near Ilovaysk.
In addition, the "unknown patriots" in the course of the "decommunization raid" destroyed the plates with the surnames Matvei Muranov (the Bolshevik, in honor of which Ozerianskaya Street was earlier named) and Stepan Khalturin (the People's Volunteer, the organizer of the attempt on the Russian Tsar Alexander II). The press service of the State Unitary Enterprise in the Kharkov region reported that no one had applied to these episodes.
