Until March 26 in the "Mystetskyi Arsenal" Kyiv residents and guests of the capital hosted the first news museum in Ukraine dedicated to the 20th anniversary of TSN. Ten exhibition halls told visitors about the production and impact of news, and also showed the most important evidence of the formation of independent Ukraine. Project Manager News and GES Todorchuk PR Museum Jaroslav Gres is sure that the success and the phenomenon of the museum consists in an interactive approach to the exposition and the ability to speak with the viewer in his language.
"In the summer of 2016, we with Alexander Todorchuk came to" 1 + 1 "with the idea of ??the Museum of News. At first it seemed to be something unrealistic: not only to unveil the news kitchen and tell how the fate of the news story heroes was formed, but also to collect in one place the exhibits that witness the independence of Ukraine. During the work on the project, we heard dozens of times: "It's impossible". We were twice denied in the Verkhovna Rada, until we finally heard "yes"? And the main flag of the country first left the walls of parliament. We signed dozens of documents to obtain the right to transport the engine element of the AN-225 "Mriya". We shot video from drones to show how Kiev has changed in 26 years and printed mono-headphones on a 3D printer so that the museum can listen to Melnychenko's films, "says Jaroslav Gres.
The installation of the exposition lasted 20 days, and one of the most high-tech exhibits was the recreated studio TSN, where everyone could stand in front of the camera and read the news release from the prompter or the weather forecast, and the first full-height human hologram in Ukraine. TV presenter Alla Mazur participated in a special shooting for several hours in a row, so that her ZD-image every day told the museum visitors about the subtleties of TV production.
In addition, four virtual reality zones were prepared for the exhibition: with the help of special glasses the guests of the museum could be in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada and in the TSN studio, with their own eyes see how the 4th reactor of the Chernobyl NPP is being covered and how people live in the ATU zone. The shooting was conducted using the "video 360". In Parliament, they were filmed at night, when there were no deputies. This made it possible to show the hall from those positions where it is almost never removed,? This is the seat of the President, Speaker and Prime Minister. But the hardest part was to shoot the studio of the "Television News Service" directly during the live broadcast: it was necessary not to interfere with the studio cameras, not to make a single sound, not to distract the presenter and at the same time to choose the most interesting points for shooting.
To fill the exhibition with unique exhibits, the curator group of the Mystetskyi Arsenal held negotiations with six museums and private collectors for several months. As a result, the exhibition was: triumphant figurines from the "Eurovision" of Jamala and Ruslana; Champion belt on the version of WBC Vitali Klitschko; The legendary flag that Chernovol and his comrades-in-arms brought to the Verkhovna Rada on August 24, 1991; Draft of the Act of Proclamation of Independence of Ukraine from the personal archive of the dissident Levka Lukyanenko; "Kobzar," who flew into space with Leonid Kadenyuk; A vessel with half a cubic meter of gas, symbolizing the breakdown of gas relations with Russia.
"The news museum is really a unique project for the country, it has enabled thousands of people to touch the history of Ukraine not only and not so much through the news, but rather through the victories and triumphs that were reflected in this news. The task was to show visitors that TSN is in fact a chronicler of modern history, and what is news? This is the titanic work of a large team. It seems to me that we coped with the task.
