The largest German aviation concern Lufthansa on Wednesday, March 15, managed to resolve the long-standing conflict with the union of Cockpit pilots, settling the contentious issues of the tariff policy. The basic agreement between Lufthansa and the Cockpit trade union will be in force until June 2022, representatives of the company's management in Frankfurt am Main. Its main points are the size of salaries and pension payments.

The Cockpit union agreed to reform the pension system, which provides for the refusal of the annual indexation of employer contributions to the pension fund of pilots.

The company, in turn, guarantees that until mid-2022, the Lufthansa fleet will consist of no less than 325 aircraft. Thus, it will be possible to increase the number of commanders of the airline's crew by another 600 people, and 700 already trained employees can be employed.

During the conflict between the management of Lufthansa and the union of pilots, which lasts from 2012, Cockpit announced 14 strikes, the loss of which amounted to 500 million euros.
