Producer and composer Evgeniy Rybchinsky, the son of People's Artist of Ukraine Yuri Rybchinsky, announced that he is fighting cancer. The artist admitted that he recently underwent a second operation related to skin cancer, and for the first time publicly spoke about his health condition.
According to Rybchinsky in an interview with Naodintsi, the disease is hereditary, and the first surgical intervention occurred back in 2015. Despite the seriousness of the diagnosis, the artist notes that he does not allow fear to control his life and considers struggle to be the only correct position.
Evgeny Rybchinsky said that he recently underwent another operation, during which doctors removed the tumor. According to him, this is not the first such experience.
“I recently had another operation and removed another cancer. And this is not the first time. But both the first time and the last I didn’t even think about the earth. And there's nothing to be afraid of. We only live once. What to be afraid of? "
The artist clarified that we are talking specifically about skin cancer, which has an unpleasant feature - external manifestations do not always correspond to the real scale of the problem. " It's hereditary. Very unpleasant moments, because sometimes half the body is simply removed. You see from the outside, but inside it's three times larger. The first time was in 2015. And now in a different place. Everything was cut out. The biopsy showed that everything was normal,” Rybchinsky shared.
The first case of oncology, according to him, occurred about ten years ago. The current situation is not a relapse in the same place, but a new formation.
After undergoing operations, Evgeny Rybchinsky is forced to adhere to strict restrictions. In particular, doctors forbade him to be in the sun, despite the fact that he always loved to sunbathe. " I really like to sunbathe, but I haven’t done it for many years.. You can't get irradiated and stuff like that. That is, I take vitamin D and E, because you can’t be in the sun, but you need to consume the sun. "
The artist also spoke about a family tendency to dermatological problems and suggested that the health of his family could have been affected by the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
" Dermatology is always present with us.
I don’t know how it is with our relatives - we don’t communicate much. This is exactly how it is with us. Maybe after Chernobyl in 1986, because then processes began that we are still dealing with in terms of health. Good thing it's not radiation sickness. It's good that at least it's like that. My dad and I also went to football on April 26 (that day at night the Chernobyl accident occurred. – Ed. ) and got caught in the rain. We have something to remember. And mom herself didn’t understand what was happening,” the composer added..
