The Ukrainian musician and frontman of the RIK friend Valery Kharchishin said that the war with Russia was inevitable, but it could be delayed for years or even decades. In his conviction, a decisive step could be a radical restriction of the use of the Russian language in the information and cultural environment of Ukraine even after the annexation of Crimea in 2014.

In response, Kharchishin noted that the issue lies with the conscience of power and legislators. At the same time, he admitted that there is a certain progress:
in cultural institutions, cafes and bars, it is already impossible to hear Russian music thanks to the current norms and the work of relevant agencies.
The musician is sure that with the proper political will before the start of a large war, it was possible to technically block Russian -speaking content on the world's largest audio platforms - YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music or Deeezer.
