The corresponding appeal is published on the KMU website. The authors note that Russian -speaking music can be a bearer of ideas that harm Ukrainian identity. One of the key arguments is that listening to such songs on popular platforms makes profiters, and therefore taxes in the budget of the aggressor state. The authors of the petition believe that the ban will help not only to reduce the cultural influence of Russia, but will also stimulate the development of Ukrainian -language music.
It is also noted that the music forms a worldview, especially in adolescents. Restrictions on Russian -language content can help avoid the influence of Russian culture and contribute to the development of Ukrainian -language musical space.
