By the Day of Embroidery, the famous singer, Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalka Karpa told about her attitude to national clothes and embroidery of her dreams.
Natalka Karpa from the very childhood understood the value and sign of the national costume. The singer admits that as a little girl, she always had her own embroideries.
Anna's grandmother, on her father's side, was a real master of this business, so everything was embroidered in the house, from clothes to paintings. And all ornaments were of particular importance and served for the benefit of the family.
So, Natalka recalls a vivid example from childhood, when she realized that embroidered is not only a thing that has a beautiful painting, each of them has special symbols, and Ukrainians have long believed in them with all their heart.
"I remember back in Soviet times when it was impossible to have any Ukrainian symbols, my grandmother had a beautiful embroidered veil. And how much I remember myself a little, when we came to her, this curtain lay on the bed. It had several voluminous colors, like sewn cushions. When in independence came independence in the 1990s, I look, my grandmother opens the flower, I asked why she is cleaning the most beautiful flower, but she did not say anything in response, but she kept on stealing, and when the flower was off I saw an embroidered trident. That is the entire conscious life, she had this symbolism at home, which served as a home guard, "- shared Natalka.
Not only the singer's childhood is associated with embroideries and national ornaments. Already in adulthood, going to a series of important events - concerts for Ukrainian diasporas in South America, Natalka seriously began to study embroidery and its significance. Then for the singer was developed a dress with beautiful ornaments, from beads, which attracted the attention of local residents, that the actress immediately understood the value of embroidery. And after returning to Ukraine, she began to collect her own collection of national clothes.
"Vyshyvanka is not just an element of clothing, for me it's a sense of belonging to a glorious family, to historical events, to people who fought and fight for the independence of Ukraine. If I created my embroidery, she would have a symbol of love, as in that song: "Chervone is love ...". Because love is a very strong feeling, it is everywhere, it engulfs, gives, takes, restores. It seems to me that my embroidery would be permeated with a kind feeling of love and at the same time there should be love for everything - for peace, family, beauty, life, "the singer said..
Recall, it became known earlier why Maria Yaremchuk leaves the stage.
