On May 19, at the National Palace of Arts "Ukraine", the M2 television channel will sum up the musical results of the year and name the best representatives of the Ukrainian music scene, as well as arrange an incredible show with the participation of top artists.
The organizers of the national music award Zolotaya Zhar-Ptitsa, TV channel M2 and the company "Tavriyskie Igry", will award prizes in 12 categories. 60 Ukrainian artists and collectives will compete for the legendary statuette. In each nomination there are five artists each.
The winners are defined in two stages. Each nomination consists of 5 artists whose clips have received the highest ratings on the air of M2 channel from May 2017 to May 2018 inclusive.
Further the list of nominees gets to the council of experts, which, through individual voting, determines the winners. The next day after the national music award, the Golden Firebird, the organizers promise to publish the questionnaires of each of the experts, so that any participant or spectator can count the scores and check the results of voting.
The jury consists of radio and television producers and famous persons of Ukrainian show business: Valentin Koval, Natella Chkhartishvili-Zatsarinaya, Roman Nedzelsky, Elena Mozgovaya, Yuri Nikitin, Ruslan Kvinta, Vitaly Klimov, Vitaly Drozdov, Roman Mukha, Valery Saskovets, Alexander Rasskazov , Evgeniy Feshak, Roman Davydov, Anton Ceslik, Roman Kalmuk, Vadim Lisitsa, Andrey Veliky, Sergey Kuzin, Mikhail Nekrasov, Andrey Pasechnik, Dmitry Klimashenko, Igor Kondratyuk, Alan Badoev, Denis Budantsev.
