She is rightly called the "Queen of Television". Actress Elizabeth Moss played almost the most vivid female images in the latest series, for which she receives prestigious awards. Already this year, Elizabeth managed to become the owner of the Golden Globe. And she has chances to join the "Oscar".

Great happiness "The Queen of Modern Television" is not a figure of speech. That's how Elizabeth Moss called last year's respected edition of New York Magazine. On her account - the role in the best modern television products "Mad Men", "The Top of the Lake" and "The Story of a Servant", as well as an impressive number of nominations and various film awards.

The success of Elizabeth, of course, is due to her acting talent, charm and charisma. And a fair amount of luck - Moss managed to take time to occupy a niche in only the rapidly growing industry.

When the "Madmen" started, and this is the mid-2000s, the work on television was considered among the actors not very prestigious. Stars of the first magnitude shone in a big movie and avoided telemyling, so that they did not stick to the label of the serial actor. Who could have guessed that in ten years the situation will change dramatically, and even the owners of several Oscars will dream of appearing in a good series!.

"Many of us were very afraid to agree to the role in the series, so as not to get stuck in the image of a television actor," recalls the actress. - When I was sent scripts series, and I liked the story, the role, the team, I decided for myself: "What's the difference! ". Having a job in our profession is already a great happiness! "From the ballerina to the producer Elizabeth was born in Los Angeles, in a family of jazz musicians. Therefore, the underside of the bohemian Hollywood life knew in every detail. If fate decreed otherwise, then perhaps Moss would become the "queen of modern dance" - in her childhood she dreamed of becoming a ballerina. But in parallel with the dance classes Elizabeth successfully acted in film, and at last it became difficult for her to combine both lessons. Then she decided to focus on acting career.

In the series she is removed from 8 years. At first they were not the most outstanding paintings, but then a big project appeared - "The West Wing". Moss played the daughter of US President Zoe Bartlett, but so convincingly that the audience remembered her.

The next loud and long-running show with her participation was "Madmen" - a series about advertisers from Madison Avenue in the 1960s. Heroine Moss - Peggy Olson - for seven seasons passes from a frightened provincial to a steep specialist in the advertising business. For this role, she was only nominated for the Emmy five times!.

The series "The Top of the Lake", where the actress played a female detective Robin Griffin, investigating cruel crimes, also caused a great response. Although, according to Elizabeth, this work was not easy.

"I always pretended to understand something in the investigations and generally look like a policeman," said the actress. - It's all too far from my reality. Fortunately, I had consultants who explained how the policeman would behave in this or that situation ".

Her work was rewarded - the actress received the "Golden Globe" and "Emmy".

In the series-anti-utopia "The Story of the Servant", the action takes place in the totalitarian world of the future, where women are absolutely powerless (even their names denote belonging to the master). Elizabeth played a brave girl, ready to go against the system and fight for her rights.

After receiving an offer to participate in this project, Moss also began to assert her rights. She said she would agree on one condition: she must be among the producers of the project.

And she showed herself in this position! The series received a great response, and one of the characters even quoted Hillary Clinton in his speech. Elizabeth, of course, received the award - the next "Golden Globe" in January 2018. On approach the second season.

Careers and cats "I do not know, maybe I have psychological problems, but I love digging into difficult characters. I love my work for the chances she gives me. Rather, I prefer to get tired at work, than to rest or do something else, "says Elizabeth Moss.

Another difficult character - in the movie "Square". The actress played Anna - an American, who has a romantic relationship with the main character - curator at the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm. "Square" received in Cannes "Golden Palm Branch" and is now one of the contenders for the "Oscar" in the nomination "Best film in a foreign language". If the "Square" will win the coveted statuette, its golden glare will necessarily fall on the already successful career of the actress.

Career, work, roles ... Elizabeth really devotes all her time to the profession. On the personal life of time there is almost no. Two-year marriage with the American comedian Fred Armisen ended in divorce, and now she lives in a cozy apartment in Manhattan with two cats. Evidence of a carefree life Moss from time to time publishes in his Instagram.

She also professes Scientology and fights for women's rights, not only playing strong heroines, able to withstand the circumstances. At the Golden Globes award ceremony, Elizabeth, like many of her colleagues, came in a black dress - in protest at sexual violence in the film industry. And, receiving the reward, she said:.

"We are no longer a shadow. We write our own history ".

And Elizabeth Moss knows what she's saying - like no other actress.
